The XCMG XGC400-I crawler crane is a premium 400t lifting solution engineered for major infrastructure, mining, energy, bridge, industrial and heavy construction projects requiring exceptional lifting capacity, long boom configurations and advanced superlift performance. Featuring heavy boom configurations from 24m to 84m, light boom configurations up to 108m and superlift light boom capability reaching 126m, the XGC400-I delivers outstanding versatility across a wide range of demanding lifting applications.

The crane offers multiple operating configurations including heavy boom, light boom, tower jib, fixed jib, goose head jib and TBM working modes, allowing operators to optimise the crane for both high-capacity and long-reach applications. Maximum rated capacities include 400t on heavy boom, 220t on light boom, 150t on tower jib and 200t on fixed jib configurations. Under superlift working conditions, the crane achieves a maximum lifting moment of 5200 t.m for exceptional heavy lift performance.

Designed with a high-strength four-chord lattice boom structure manufactured from seamless pipe and high-strength steel plate, the XGC400-I provides outstanding rigidity, durability and lifting stability. The turntable and car-body utilise reinforced box-frame structures for superior torsional resistance and long-term structural reliability in severe operating environments.

The XGC400-I is powered by a Weichai WP12.460N six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine producing 338kW at 1900rpm with 2110Nm of torque. Combined with an advanced electro-hydraulic proportional control system and PLC logic-controlled functions, the crane delivers smooth multifunction operation, precise lifting control and excellent fine-motion performance. Variable displacement pumps and motors provide efficient power delivery for hoisting, luffing, slewing and travel operations.

Main and auxiliary hoist winches are independently driven and capable of synchronous operation for heavy lifting applications. The crane features maximum single-line hoist speeds up to 130m/min, boom luffing speeds up to 2 × 51m/min and slewing speeds up to 1.16rpm. A four-wheel-drive crawler travel system with planetary reduction and variable displacement motors provides reliable mobility and stable operation on demanding job sites.

Safety and operator comfort are central to the XGC400-I design. The crane incorporates a comprehensive Load Moment Indicator (LMI) system with a 10.4-inch high-definition display providing real-time monitoring of lifting weight, boom angle, radius, load percentage and operating status. Additional safety systems include emergency stop, anti-misoperation controls, over-wind and over-release protection, boom backstop devices, hook height limiters, slewing locks, audio and visual alarms, anemometer, gradient indicators and closed-circuit monitoring systems.

The spacious operator’s cab features ergonomic controls, adjustable seating, air conditioning, stereo system and excellent visibility with tilting and rotating functionality for improved operator comfort and transport efficiency. Centralised automatic lubrication systems further reduce maintenance requirements and improve long-term reliability
